Afternoon tea and ‘the jam goes on first’

Today was our chance to be the very sophisticated ladies were all are as we chomped through copious amounts of cake and tea.
It was lovely to see so many off us enjoying good company and having a cuppa . Blondies Twisted tea room set out a wonderful spread. We enjoyed several posh sandwiches and tucked into scones , carrot cake , chocolate cake , lemon meringue and the occasional strawberry.
We laughed about the rules of jam and cream vs cream and jam on a scone and decided , each to their own , unless your sitting next to our lovely julie who will scorn you for putting cream on first.
Lets hope this afternoon was one of many yummy afternoon treats .
