fantastic feet and our very funky AGM

This months talk was delivered by the delightful Sallyann who educated us all in the facts of ‘fantastic feet’. We were given a wonderfully educational talk on the perils of not looking after your feet and the evils that may appear from ill fitting footwear and the delights of fungal nail infection . From splendid facts , such as research indicates women on average spend more time on their feet than men (therefore clearly giving reason to buy so many new shoes) to the fact that shoe/foot size is measured in barleycorns. There was much discussion on the lack of beauty in ‘crocs’ the uselessness of ‘uggs’ and the horror on faces as it was suggested we all show our feet. It is also important to remember that shoe shopping is best in the afternoon, if possible moisturise those toes each and everyday and for any stinky feet try tea tree oil a natural antiseptic.
Overall a fascinating talk and a great start to the AGM.
The AGM went smoothly and with a little excitement as Julies bingo cards went down a storm and we had three lucky winners of gardening goodies.
The president was voted in for 2013 to continue being Gemma White , big thanks to Kay Jackson for attending the meeting and running the voting.
