Let’ Find Ghosts ! The Leopard tour , Burslem.

A believer or a Sceptic many laughs ( and few jumps) were had on this fantastic tour of the ‘Haunted’ Leopard pub in Burslem. There was no doubt about the eeryness of this building , built in the early 18th century the floors hidden above the popular traditional drinking venue are a world hidden in dust , debris and a cold presence. The rooms and corridors stretch-further than any of us would have believed and provided an insight to the years gone by when the pub was a working hotel.
Wallpaper from a bygone era provided photo opportunities to the many artists within the group as much of it was original Victorian paint and paper. Believers jumped and shivered at haunted stories told by our guide Sharon the Ladylady of the Pub who was charming in her approach and welcomed us with open arms ,It was fascinating tour if a little scary , extra large spiders and wax work models playing on our insecurities as we wandered both upstairs and downstairs amongst creaky floorboards and low hung ceilings .
Overall the historic detail of the building was beautiful and its so sad to see its demise . It was a privilege to be shown around and a lovely evening out for us ladies . Some of whom were worse for wear by the end of the evening!
