Christmas Coffee Morning

A couple of months of preparation, some mild panic finding paper bags and a little bit of Christmas spirit finally came to fruition today with our Christmas Coffee morning fundraiser.

We had some fabulous stalls;  Usbourne books, Pressie corner, Beryl’s knitted gifts, Pyrography by Dawn, Personalised baubles, Christmas wreaths, Poop, Stampin’ Up crafts and of course the tombola.

The cakes went down extremely well, because as always the standard was superb, if practice makes perfect then I genuinely wonder how much higher the standard of our baking can get!

Many thanks to all contributors to the bake stall, between mince pies, choca mocha cake, Christmas cake, short bread, tea bread, and muffins the array was excellent, there was also particularly delicious banana cake causing a ruckus!

A special thanks to our taste test team (who also served the tea and coffee and did the washing up) which during the day change; Jenny, Jen, Leanne, Rachel and Jo thanks for making sure those odd bits were not wasted and that our patrons were happy!

Paula from BBC Stoke popped in to say Hi and gave us a rave review to encourage custom and it was lovely to see so many husbands and friends dragged along to support us.

It was a great team effort and was a joy to see everyone from kids to Grandmas enjoying the morning, one little girl won both a cupcake mould and mini digital camera and was particularly pleased with her tombola win!

Other kids left happy with snowman and reindeer poop! Need I say more….

Special thanks to Julie who dragged people of Tunstall streets literally! Her audacity has no limits!
