Cauldon Valley AGM

Gemma and I attended our first ever Cauldon Valley AGM on Thursday 29th March 2012. For those of you who don’t know we have become a member of this group (all WI’s are grouped within their local area). We have a meeting once a year, hosted by different WI’s. The next meeting is on the 11th April 2013.

As you can see by the photographs we were presented with our official WI certificate, confrming our formation. We also received lots of praise and invitations to various social WI events around the county. I will be setting up a ‘Dates For Your Diary’ page ASAP.

We also have lots of oppotunities to enter various competitions so I will be setting up a competitions page too. My favourite so far is the one to ‘Design and Make a Crafted Cake’ in any medium except cookery! Again more to follow on this.

Additionally we have a Staffordshire WI magazine called ‘Cornerstone’. I have a few freebies to give out but if members want to subscribe it is a very reasonable £3.85 per year and that includes distribution costs. It is full of what is happening in Staffordshire and nationally. I fully expect us to be in it soon. Please take special note of the ‘End of Season Scooter Clearance’on the back page. What is it they say about advertisments and target markets??
